This caterpillar looks adorable with its pretty combination of colors;
it looks like a colorful cactus. It is the larva of the cecropia moth,
one of the largest moths found in North America. This is my favorite
among these nine beautiful caterpillars.
Spurge Hawk-Moth Caterpillar
It can be found in Kriegtal near Binn, Valais, Switzerland at ca. 2 km
altitude. This is one of the most beautiful caterpillars.
Stinging Rose Caterpillars
It also called rose slug caterpillars, are truly colorful characters
that can be found in the forests of the eastern United States. It looks
like one of the ocean species, very beautiful.
Red-Footed Fuzzy-Wuzzy Caterpillar
It is a weird caterpillar that normally lives in Costa Rica; it looks
like an animal.
Azalea Caterpillar
It appears hairy and it is harmless to humans and is a serious pest of
azaleas.
Saddleback Caterpillar
This caterpillar has a painful sting. The middle of the body is green
with a whitish margin and an oval spot in the middle, giving it the
appearance of a saddle or blanket and therefore its name.
Tetrio Sphinx Caterpillar
This is the Tetrio sphinx moth caterpillar of the Sphingidae family. It
ranges from Brazil in South America to the southern US.
Monarch Caterpillar
It is the larva of Monarch butterfly; it has beautiful stripes
combination of tiger and zebra.
Hickory Horned Devil
It has a scary and frightful appearance because of the five pairs of
long, curved hornlike structures over the back of its thorax. Just like
its name, it looks like a devil with its weird look.
Old World Swallowtail Caterpillar
This caterpillar has beautiful color combination, it’s the larva of the
Old World Swallowtail (Papilio machaon), a butterfly of the family
Papilionadae.
